The Power of Presence: Embracing Values and Community with David Green

Season 3 Episode 16

In our latest Terrified Nation episode, David Green joined Debilyn Molineaux to discuss navigating uncertainty while staying true to our emotions, values, and community. As the leader of the U.S Values Alliance , David has spent decades reflecting on principles that shape his life. Through his work and personal journey, he has cultivated a deep understanding of what it means to be present, connected, and purposeful.

Embracing Emotions as Growth

David shared that he experiences a wide range of emotions—peace, purpose, frustration, and sometimes anger. Rather than suppressing them, he sees emotions as signals guiding personal growth.

"I've learned to feel, process, and let go rather than pretending everything is peaceful all the time," he explains. This mindset aligns with shadow work, which views all emotions as opportunities for learning and transformation.

  • Love

  • Peace

  • Learning

  • Creativity

  • Connection

Building a Stronger Community

Looking ahead to 2035, David envisions a world where people are healthier, more connected, and find spaciousness in their interactions. A key component of this vision is cultivating genuine community.

"Friendliness is essential—acknowledging each other, making compromises for the greater good, and recognizing different perspectives," he says. True community is not just living near one another but choosing to engage and support each other.

A Future We Choose

David reminds us that we actively shape the future through our choices, emotions, and values. By embracing our emotions, living our values, and fostering real connections, we create a better world.
